Former Minister and Suryapet MLA, Jagadish Reddy, addressed a press meet at the district party office in Nalgonda on Friday, where he criticized the current state of governance and political dynamics in Telangana. He expressed that the state is operating under “emergency rule,” and the government’s rule is facing a growing rebellion.
He pointed out that people in village meetings are questioning Congress MLAs, and spontaneous protests are occurring across the state. “The BRS party has always stood by the people,” he stated, highlighting the growing opposition to the government’s actions. He also noted that BJP and Congress leaders in the state have united, but only the BRS is fighting for the people’s rights against the government’s policies.
Jagadish Reddy further announced that on January 28th, a major farmers’ protest would take place at the Clock Tower center in Nalgonda, with KTR attending the event. “Farmers are angry because fertilizers are unavailable, electricity is not being provided, loan waivers have not been implemented, and the ministers in the district are focused on corruption,” he remarked.
He lashed out at Ministers Kothireddy and Tummala for their alleged involvement in corruption, with accusations of collusion with millers. “Tummala Nageswara Rao should answer why he hasn’t procured enough paddy and what bonus was given to farmers. If you have the guts, answer these questions,” he challenged. He criticized the ministers for their alleged role in misleading the public, calling them “traitors” and “corrupt.”
He also spoke about the issues faced by Congress leaders, stating that in village meetings, Congress leaders were being humiliated, and Revanth Reddy was reduced to carrying bags instead of addressing the real issues. “KTR has increased IT sector production and improved Telangana’s reputation, while Revanth’s rhetoric only brings shame to Hyderabad,” he stated. He further criticized Revanth Reddy for belittling KTR’s efforts and questioned the validity of Revanth’s comments during the Davos trip.
Jagadish Reddy concluded by asserting that Revanth Reddy was just a “petty” figure and that his words were only causing harm to Telangana’s image. “KTR is far more capable than Revanth, who only engages in cheap talk,” he remarked.
The press meet was attended by key leaders including JAC former Chairman Uttam Reddy, Congress party workers, and several other supporters.
