The inspection began with a pantry car audit of Train No. 11020 CSMT–Bhubaneswar Konark Express, during which the team scrutinized food quality, ingredients, safety measures, and hygiene standards. Expiry dates of products, PAD item compliance, and passenger feedback on food quality and quantity were reviewed. At Tadepalligudem Railway Station, the Sr. DCM meticulously inspected platform cleanliness, toilet and waiting hall maintenance, lighting, signage, and water supply facilities. Catering stalls were reviewed for food quality, expiry dates, and water bottle availability. Ongoing Amrit Bharat Station redevelopment works were also examined, with directives issued to expedite progress. Rambabu engaged with passengers, staff, and vendors to gather feedback and stressed the importance of smooth ticketing, enquiry services, and help desks to ensure hassle-free travel.
Later in the day, Rambabu extended the inspection to Tanuku Railway Station, focusing on passenger amenities, the booking office, parcel office, and traffic facilities. He reviewed redevelopment works and encouraged staff to maintain excellence in their duties while prioritizing customer satisfaction.
These inspections form part of Vijayawada Division’s ongoing initiative to enhance the quality of services and facilities at railway stations, ensuring passenger comfort and safety. Officials and staff from various departments participated in the day’s activities.
