A. Venkateshwara Rao, newly appointed as the Circle Inspector (CI) of Boath, officially took charge today by meeting Adilabad District SP Gouse Alam IPS at the police headquarters. As a gesture of respect, Venkateshwara Rao presented a sapling to the SP during the ceremony.

On this occasion, SP Gouse Alam reiterated the importance of eradicating ganja cultivation, trade, and consumption entirely in the Boath circle jurisdiction. He emphasized the need to eliminate all anti-social activities and urged the new CI to proactively address these issues. The SP advised Venkateshwara Rao to visit every village in the Boath circle, create awareness among the public about the dangers of narcotics, and educate students to stay away from drugs.

A. Venkateshwara Rao, who was transferred to Boath from GRP, has been serving in the police department since 2009 as a Sub-Inspector and was promoted to CI in 2017. He has previously served in CCS Mahabubabad and Tekulapalli of Bhadradri Kothagudem district before taking up his new assignment in Boath.

The event was attended by CC Durga Srinivas, Boath SI Praveen, police staff, and others. The SP concluded the session by emphasizing a zero-tolerance approach to drug-related activities, signaling a firm stance on public safety and social order in the district.
