VEMULAWADA - DEC 21:

National Mathematics Day was celebrated with grandeur at Kerala Model Schools in Uppagadda and Sai Nagar, Vemulawada, on the occasion of renowned mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan’s birth anniversary on December 22.

Students eloquently highlighted the significance of mathematics and its practical benefits in daily life. Various mathematical models and projects created by the students captivated the audience and showcased their innovative skills.

Addressing the event, School Principal Smt. Sathi Manoj Kumar explained the importance of the day, stating that former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh declared December 22 as National Mathematics Day in 2012 to honor the mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujan. She emphasized that the day aims to inspire and encourage the younger generation to embrace mathematics with confidence and shed any fears about the subject.

She also mentioned that a movie, The Man Who Knew Infinity, was released based on the life of Srinivasa Ramanujan. Extending her best wishes to the students, she urged them to excel in mathematics.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from teachers, students, and staff.
