District Collector Abhilasha Abhinav announced that gram sabhas will be conducted from tomorrow until January 24 to implement the state government’s flagship welfare schemes. In a statement issued on Monday, the Collector emphasized that these meetings aim to ensure the transparent selection of beneficiaries for Indiramma Housing, new Food Security Cards (Ration Cards), Rythu Bharosa, and Indiramma Aatmiya Bharosa schemes.
The Collector revealed that 3,500 houses will be sanctioned in the first phase under the Indiramma Housing Scheme for each constituency. Special officers have been appointed to oversee the smooth conduct of these gram and ward sabhas, and all necessary arrangements have been completed. She assured that the government’s welfare schemes are an ongoing process and that gram sabhas will address any doubts or concerns raised by the public.
During the sabhas, officials will accept applications for various schemes and gather feedback and suggestions from residents. The Collector stated that the selection process would be completely transparent, ensuring that every eligible individual receives the benefits they are entitled to.
She called on the public to actively participate in the gram sabhas to make the most of these welfare initiatives.
