Narayana Pur, Venkatapur Mandal: To enhance early childhood education, Telangana’s Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Women and Child Welfare Minister, Smt. Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka), laid the foundation stone for a new Anganwadi building in Narayana Pur village on Wednesday. The new facility is part of the government’s initiative to establish permanent Anganwadi centers across the state.
Speaking on the occasion, Minister Seethakka emphasized that early childhood education plays a pivotal role in shaping children’s cognitive and emotional development. She stated that these centers would not only provide quality preschool education but also focus on nutritional needs through well-structured programs. “By nurturing children with quality education and nutrition, we are preparing skilled and capable citizens for the future Telangana,” she said.
District Additional Collector (Local Bodies), Sampath Rao, assured that the construction would be completed within the stipulated timeframe and urged Anganwadi teachers to ensure there are no SAM (Severe Acute Malnutrition) or MAM (Moderate Acute Malnutrition) cases in the district.
District Welfare Officer K. Sirisha expressed gratitude to the minister for approving and initiating several new Anganwadi centers in the region. The event also included traditional ceremonies such as Seemantham for pregnant women, Annaprasana for infants, and Aksharabhyasam for young children, conducted under the minister’s supervision.
The program was attended by District Library Chairman Banoth Ravichander, Eturunagaram and Venkatapuram CDPOs EP Premalatha and Dhanalakshmi, ICDS supervisors, Anganwadi teachers, local public representatives, and community members.
