Stop the Exploitation in the Name of Educational Trips: BC Welfare Association Leader Hariprasad”
Deccan Freedom News, Karimnagar, December 4:
BC Welfare Association State Leader Gunja Padugu Hariprasad has demanded an immediate halt to the alleged exploitation of parents by Alphores Educational Institutions in the guise of educational trips. Addressing a press meet in Karimnagar, Hariprasad accused the institution of charging ₹2,100 per student for trips to Hyderabad, packing over 60 students into a single bus. “This means that for every bus, they collect approximately ₹1.3 lakh, and with hundreds of buses making the trips annually, Alphores is extorting crores from parents,” he alleged.
Hariprasad claimed that Alphores institutions have turned educational trips into a business model, exploiting parents under the pretext of knowledge tours. “The collected funds, amounting to crores, are reportedly being misused for MLC election campaigns,” he alleged.
He also highlighted coercion tactics, stating that parents are forced to pay term fees in advance along with the trip charges. “Even though term fees and trip fees are unrelated, Alphores management threatens parents that their children will not be allowed to join the trip unless they pay both fees,” Hariprasad said.
Hariprasad further criticized the unsafe travel conditions, alleging that the institution uses unfit school buses for these trips, risking the lives of children. “The District Transport Officer must immediately inspect the fitness and permits of Alphores buses, which are transporting students to Hyderabad without proper authorization,” he demanded.
The BC Welfare Association has vowed to expose these irregularities through detailed investigations and public awareness campaigns. Hariprasad also hinted at producing a documentary titled Alphores Files to reveal the alleged financial exploitation and corruption by the management.
Other leaders who participated in the press meet included Sriramula Ramesh, Tula Bhaskar Rao, Garshakurti Vidyasagar, Ponnam Anil Goud, Rayikanti Kiran, and Jayant.
