Sri Srinivasa Kalyanam Grandly Celebrated at Chitrakoot

As part of the Maha Kumbh Mela celebrations, the sacred city of Chitrakoot in Madhya Pradesh, where Lord Rama along with Sita Devi and Lakshmana spent 12 years of their exile during the Treta Yuga, witnessed the grandeur of Sri Srinivasa Kalyanam. The event was organized by TTD (Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams) on Wednesday morning at the Northern Ahobil Mutt.
The procession began with the temple’s chief priest, Sri Venugopala Deekshitulu, leading the archakas (priests) in escorting the utsava idols of Sri Srinivasa, accompanied by Sridevi and Bhudevi, to the kalyana mandapam.
The celestial wedding commenced at 11:00 AM with rituals performed as per Agama Shastra, including Vishwaksenaradhana, Punyahavachanam, Kankanadharana, Agni Pratishthapana, Yajamani Sankalpam, Bhakta Sankalpam, Maha Sankalpam, Mangala Puja, and Mangala Sutra Dharana. The ceremony concluded with Naksatra Harati and Mangala Harati offered to the divine couple.
Devotees who witnessed the holy wedding were overwhelmed with devotion and joy, making the occasion truly memorable.
Prominent attendees included Sri Sri 1008 Raj Guru Peethadheeshwar Swami Badri Prapannacharya Maharaj, TTD Estate Officer Sri Guna Bhushan Reddy, Bokkasa In-charge Sri Gururaja Swami, and other officials.
