Search Operation Launched After Suspicious Movement Detected In JK's Kathua
A joint operation by police, Army, SOG, and CRPF was initiated in Kathua's Hiranagar after suspicious movements were reported. Investigations are ongoing.

Kathua: A massive search operation was launched in the Hiranagar area of Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir, following reports of suspicious movements of three individuals late Saturday night.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kathua Shobhit Saxena informed the media about the swift action taken by security agencies. “Since last night, we have been conducting a joint operation with the Army, Special Operations Group (SOG), CRPF, and other forces. Aerial surveillance is also part of the operation. We are corroborating reports of 3-4 people seen in the area, questioning locals, and continuing our search,” SSP Saxena stated.
The search operation involves advanced monitoring techniques and collaboration among multiple security agencies to ensure public safety and counter any potential threat.
Separate Incident in Udhampur
In a tragic development in Udhampur, two police personnel were found dead with bullet injuries in a police vehicle on Sunday morning. SSP Udhampur Amod Ashok Nagpure confirmed the incident, stating, "An AK-47 rifle was used in the incident. Initial investigations suggest the personnel were traveling from Sopore to the Talwara training center when the event occurred. A third officer in the vehicle survived."
The bodies were taken to GMC Udhampur for postmortem examinations as authorities continue their investigation.
Encounter in Dachigam Forest
On December 3, security forces eliminated one terrorist in Srinagar's Dachigam forest during a joint operation by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police. The operation began based on specific intelligence inputs, leading to an encounter at Harwan, Srinagar.
Security forces across Jammu and Kashmir remain vigilant, responding swiftly to threats and ensuring the safety of civilians amidst ongoing operations.
