Adilabad: A tribute was paid to India’s first woman teacher and social reformer, Savitribai Phule, on her birth anniversary at the MLA office in Adilabad town. The event was attended by Adilabad MP Godam Nagesh and Sirpur MLA Dr. Palvai Harish Babu, along with MLA Payal Shankar, who offered floral tributes to Savitribai Phule’s portrait.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Palvai Harish Babu hailed Savitribai Phule as a remarkable social reformer who dedicated her life to the cause of women’s education and empowerment. He emphasized her relentless efforts to eradicate child marriages and encouraged women to follow in her footsteps to bring about social change.
The event saw active participation from BJP leaders, including Suhasini Reddy, Ashok Mustapure, and Shobhan Rao, along with other dignitaries. The program concluded with a collective resolve to honor and carry forward the legacy of Savitribai Phule.
