Savitribai Phule Jayanti Celebrated at Hanumakonda Collectorate

Warangal, January 3:
The birth anniversary of Savitribai Phule, India’s first woman teacher and social reformer, was celebrated with grandeur on Friday at the Hanumakonda Collectorate.
The event, held in the conference hall, saw Warangal West MLA Naini Rajender Reddy as the chief guest, along with Hanumakonda District Collector Pravinya and other dignitaries. They paid floral tributes to Savitribai Phule’s portrait to honor her legacy.
In recognition of the Telangana government’s declaration of Savitribai Phule Jayanti as “Women Teachers’ Day,” several women teachers from schools across the district were felicitated. MLA Naini Rajender Reddy, Collector Pravinya, and other officials honored them with shawls and mementos, acknowledging their contributions to education.
The event was attended by KUDA Chairman Inagala Venkatrama Reddy, Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation Commissioner Ashwini Tanaji Wakade, Hanumakonda RDO Rathod Ramesh, DEO Vasanti, women teachers, and Collectorate staff.
