Rythu Bharosa to be Implemented from Sankranti – Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy

Telangana Minister for Roads, Buildings, and Cinematography, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, announced that the Rythu Bharosa scheme would be implemented for every farmer cultivating land starting from Sankranti. He also assured the distribution of new ration cards and Indiramma houses from Sankranti, along with ₹1 lakh crore funding to empower Indira Swasakti women’s groups, turning them into millionaires.
Addressing the media at the Udayaditya Bhavan in the Nalgonda District Collectorate on Friday, the minister highlighted several welfare measures under the government’s six guarantees, such as free bus travel for women, LPG connections for ₹500, and free electricity up to 200 units. He also mentioned the historic waiver of ₹21,000 crore in loans for two lakh farmers.
The minister promised that Rythu Bharosa would be provided to every farmer cultivating land, and irregularities in the Dharani land records system would be resolved. From January 2, Bhoobharati cards will be issued to farmers, ensuring transparency in land ownership records.
He further emphasized the government’s revolutionary initiatives and plans to reintroduce the Village Revenue Officer (VRO) system. New ration cards will also be distributed from Sankranti. In a unique pilot project, solar power units worth ₹50 lakh are being set up for 50 women from self-help groups in IT Pamal of Kattangur Mandal. These units will provide each woman an additional monthly income of ₹3,000 to ₹4,000. He added that this is the first such scheme in Telangana, and efforts are underway to expand it to all districts.
The minister also mentioned the release of irrigation water from the Brahmana Vellemla Balancing Reservoir, which is expected to significantly boost agriculture in and around Nalgonda.
