RUA Hospital to Receive Improved Facilities for Better Healthcare Services

In alignment with the government’s vision to provide quality healthcare services to the underprivileged, district collector Dr. S. Venkateshwar instructed medical officials and staff at Ruia Hospital to take immediate steps to enhance facilities. On Wednesday, a review meeting chaired by the district collector was held at the local SV Medical College conference hall, where key decisions were made regarding the development of Ruia Hospital.
The meeting, which included prominent figures such as Municipal Commissioner Smt. N. Maurya, SV Medical College Principal Dr. P.A. Chandrasekharan, Executive Engineer of APMSIDC Shri M. Shivrami Reddy, District Health Officer Dr. V. Balakrishna Naik, and Ruia Hospital Superintendent Dr. G. Ravi Prabhu, focused on various upgrades for the hospital. The committee reviewed past resolutions and quickly moved forward with pending projects.
During the review, the collector approved several financial allocations for the improvement of hospital facilities, including ₹2.5 lakhs for repairing sanitation pipes at the Diet Canteen, ₹7.5 lakhs for building and other repairs at the Government Nursing College, and ₹9.5 lakhs for laboratory and general repairs at the TBC and DST laboratories. Additionally, the committee approved the purchase of computers and UPS systems for staff working in the office, ₹1.35 lakh for the acquisition of an anesthesia workstation for the Pediatric Surgery OT, and funding for the purchase of 10 ICU beds.
These improvements are part of the ongoing efforts to ensure that Ruia Hospital can provide enhanced medical services to the people of Tirupati, particularly the underprivileged.
