“One Lakh Drums and One Thousand Voices to Echo the Madiga Call for Categorization”

The founder-president of the EMRPS, Mand Krishna Madiga, declared that the fight for SC categorization would be amplified on February 7 with a massive cultural demonstration featuring one lakh drums and one thousand voices. He emphasized that his struggle was not for positions but for the ultimate welfare and rights of his community members. Speaking at a preparatory meeting in Siddipet, Mand Krishna Madiga strongly criticized the obstruction of the SC categorization by the Venkataswamy family, similar to the resistance faced during the formation of the Telangana state.

Mand Krishna Madiga pointed out that the SC categorization verdict from the Supreme Court was made possible due to the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He reiterated that the ongoing struggle was aimed at ensuring benefits for the Madiga community and not for political positions. “Our fight is for the benefit of our people, and we will not stop until categorization is achieved,” he stated.

He further highlighted that the upcoming event on February 7, which will take place in Hyderabad, would be a significant cultural demonstration to make the Madiga voice heard worldwide. “The drumbeats will become a weapon for our cause, and we will use them to ensure our voices reach the world,” he added.

Mand Krishna Madiga also raised concerns about the delay in implementing SC categorization and the hurdles created by certain political leaders. He stated that the CM Revanth Reddy had previously promised to implement the categorization in the Assembly but had not kept his word. He called for a massive participation of Madiga leaders and their communities in the event, making it clear that this movement would continue until the goal was achieved.

The preparatory meeting saw the participation of various leaders including Juvvna Kanaka Raju, Malligari Yadgiri, Lingampalli Srinivas, Samrat Prakash, Munaraj Krishna, Mukkapalli Raju, Chunchu Ramesh, Sanwalla Prasad, Jeripothula Lakshman, Juvvan Prasad, and several others.
