MUDHOLE DECEMBER 19

Mudhole MLA Pawar Rama Rao Patel voiced his concerns in the Telangana Assembly, highlighting the developmental setbacks faced by the Mudhole constituency due to the negligence of previous governments over the past decade. He urged the state government to allocate sufficient funds to address these issues and bring progress to the region.

MLA Patel emphasized the need for immediate action on key projects. He pointed out the neglect of the Brahmeswaram Lift Irrigation project, which was aimed at providing irrigation water to 6,000 acres but stalled due to theft of transformers and equipment, leaving farmers in distress. He demanded ₹80 crore to restore the project and make it operational. Similarly, he called for ₹50 crore to complete the CC lining work of the Gaddenna Vagu project, which currently supplies water to only 5,000 acres out of the targeted 14,000 acres.

He recalled that ₹28th Package funds were allocated in 2009 by then Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy to irrigate 50,000 acres, but the project has shown no progress in over a decade. Highlighting the importance of water conservation, he revealed that out of 310 tanks in the constituency, only 120 have been restored under Mission Kakatiya, and he urged the government to allocate funds for repairing the remaining 190 tanks.

Patel also raised concerns about the hardships faced by residents due to the Pulchikar Rangarao Project and demanded immediate rehabilitation measures. He praised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for selecting the Pipri Lift Irrigation Project as a pilot project and urged the concerned minister to issue a GO to initiate the works promptly.

Turning to cultural heritage, Patel criticized the previous government for withdrawing ₹50 crore allocated for the development of the Basara Temple. He welcomed the Congress government’s allocation of ₹42 crore and stressed the urgency of commencing temple reconstruction ahead of the 2027 Godavari Pushkaralu. He proposed involving donors who are willing to contribute ₹5 crore to the temple’s development.

On education, Patel requested the establishment of a B.Sc. Agriculture College in every district, including an agriculture college in Mudhole constituency, utilizing the available 60 acres of land for an agricultural research center. He also demanded upgrading Bainsa Area Hospital from a 100-bed facility to a 150-bed facility to provide better healthcare services to the local population.

The ministers responded positively to Patel’s requests, raising hopes for developmental progress in the Mudhole constituency.
