Vemulawada, January 23

As part of the National Highway Safety Mahotsav 2025, the Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) organized the Sadak Suraksha Abhiyan awareness campaign in Vemulawada. The event, held at Tippapur, witnessed active participation from Government Whip Aadi Srinivas and ASP Sheshadri Reddy.

The event commenced with a flag-off ceremony by ASP Sheshadri Reddy, who personally drove an auto from Tippapur Bus Stand to Rajanna Temple. Following this, the team participated in a human chain at Koruṭla Bus Stop to raise awareness about road safety.

During the event, Government Whip Aadi Srinivas emphasized the importance of following road safety rules. He urged drivers to be cautious and ensure their safety and that of others while driving, reminding them that their families are waiting for them at home. He stressed that driving under the influence of alcohol or using mobile phones while driving is dangerous and advised taking breaks during long drives.

Aadi Srinivas appreciated the transportation department’s initiative in conducting such programs, noting that it leads to positive changes in some people’s behavior. He also highlighted Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s efforts in making Telangana a ganja-free state. He urged vehicle owners to prioritize both road and health safety.

Addressing the auto union members, Aadi Srinivas assured them of his support in case of any issues. He also mentioned that Indiramma housing would be granted to auto workers who do not own homes. He suggested involving students in such awareness programs so they can pass on the message to their parents, helping spread the message of road safety.

The event was attended by Municipal Vice-Chairman Bingi Mahesh, Market Committee Chairman Rondi Raju, Vice-Chairman Kanikrapu Rakesh, Auto Union President Chandragiri Srinivas, DTO Lakshman, MVIs Vamsidhar, CI Viraprasad, Traffic SI Samudrala Raju, Councillors, Auto Union leaders, and other dignitaries.
