Mayor Yadagiri Sunil Rao and Commissioner Chahat Bajpai Inspect Multipurpose Park Development Works

KARIMNAGAR, DECEMBER 19: Mayor Yadagiri Sunil Rao, accompanied by Commissioner Chahat Bajpai and engineering officials, inspected the final phase of development works at the much-anticipated multipurpose park in Karimnagar. The park, developed with an investment of ₹13 crore under the Karimnagar Smart City Corporation Limited, promises to be a major attraction with state-of-the-art facilities for relaxation and recreation.
During the visit, the Mayor reviewed various components of the park, including the ₹1.50 crore EPDM walking track, ₹2 crore musical fountain, lush greenery with landscaping, gazebos, an amphitheater, and children’s play areas. He issued instructions to the contractors and officials to expedite the final phase of work and ensure the park is ready for inauguration by December 24.
Mayor Sunil Rao expressed pride in the park’s development, stating that although the project faced delays, the final outcome would be a stunning facility for residents. He assured the public that the park would be operational by the end of December, offering a serene environment with features such as vibrant landscaping, a musical water fountain, and a dedicated play area for children. The park will also include amenities like benches, gazebos, and an EPDM walking track for fitness enthusiasts.
The Mayor emphasized that this multipurpose park would be a valuable asset to the city and a place for citizens to relax and unwind. To ensure proper access and maintenance, a ticketing counter will be set up at the entrance with nominal charges. He urged the public to utilize the park and enjoy its facilities.
The inspection was attended by local corporators, including Val Ramana Rao, Kansala Srinivas, Akhil Firoz, and Tul Rajeshwari Balayya, along with SE Raj Kumar, EE Yadagiri, DE Ayub Khan, AE Ghaffar, RV team leader Sandeep, and agency contractor Kumar. The Mayor concluded by stating that Karimnagar residents can look forward to a park that would not only enhance the city’s green cover but also provide a space for recreation and community activities.
