Vijayawada, January 6,

BJP Andhra Pradesh Vice President S. Vishnu Vardhan Reddy strongly condemned the Maoist attack in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, which claimed the lives of 10 security personnel and left five others injured. He expressed deep condolences to the families of the martyred jawans and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

Calling the Maoist action a “cowardly and brutal act,” Vishnu Vardhan Reddy emphasized that the sacrifices of the slain security personnel would never be forgotten. He urged the government to take decisive steps to eliminate the Maoist menace, stating, “The time has come to eradicate Maoist terrorism for the safety, unity, and development of the nation.”

The BJP leader criticized civil rights organizations for their silence on such heinous incidents. “It is deeply unfortunate that while 10 brave soldiers have been martyred, these so-called civil rights organizations remain silent. They vocally respond when security forces act, but choose to ignore the destruction and violence caused by Maoists,” he remarked.

He questioned the double standards of these groups, asking why the human rights of security forces and their families are overlooked. “Are these organizations working for a hidden agenda instead of genuine democratic rights?” he queried, urging them to refrain from undermining the nation’s democracy.

Vishnu Vardhan Reddy reiterated that the people of India are observing these contradictions and will no longer tolerate actions against the country’s interests.
