KTR, Harish Rao, Kavitha Criticized by Rajgopal Reddy: Promises Loan Waiver for Weavers”

Choutuppal, Yadadri-Bhuvanagiri December 3: Munugode MLA Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy lambasted KTR, Harish Rao, and Kavitha at the Praja Palana Praja Vijayotsavalu program organized by the Department of Handloom and Textiles at Padmavati Function Hall. Rajgopal Reddy emphasized his long-standing bond with weavers and vowed to secure loan waivers for them by discussing the matter with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.

He recounted his political journey, rooted in fighting for the rights of weavers, and highlighted the critical role of marginalized communities, unemployed youth, and farmers in achieving Telangana statehood. He reminded the audience that Telangana was not the result of a single party or family but a people’s movement that transcended caste and religion.

Rajgopal Reddy accused the previous government of exploiting weavers for votes while failing to genuinely address their issues. He criticized the administration for merely engaging weavers in weaving Bathukammasarees while neglecting their long-term welfare. He condemned the ten-year delay in conducting elections for handloom cooperative societies, which weakened the sector.

Addressing the broader challenges inherited by the Congress government, Rajgopal Reddy stated that the previous administration left Telangana burdened with ₹7 lakh crore in debt, requiring time to stabilize. Despite this, he assured that the Congress government is committed to supporting all sectors while carefully managing the state’s finances.

The event highlighted the Congress’s dedication to addressing the challenges faced by weavers and restoring faith in governance among Telangana’s marginalized communities.
