The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) conducted a grand Snapan Tirumanjanam and Chakrasnanam ceremony for Lord Srinivasa, along with Sri Devi and Bhu Devi, at the famous Dashashwamedh Ghat on the banks of the sacred Ganga River in Prayagraj as part of the Maha Kumbh Mela on Thursday.
Under the guidance of chief priest Sri Venugopal Dikshitulu, the ceremony began with Snapan Tirumanjanam, a sacred bath performed with milk, curd, honey, coconut water, turmeric, sandalwood paste, and other fragrant substances. The rituals, accompanied by recitations of Sri Suktam, Bhu Suktam, Neela Suktam, Purusha Suktam, and Narayana Suktam by the team of Vedic scholars, captivated the devotees present at the venue.
Following the abhishekam, the utsava murtis were adorned with garlands made of Tulasi leaves. The Sahasradhara Patra was used to perform the ceremonial bathing of the Lord in a traditional manner.
Later, the Sri Chakratalwar (Sudarshana Chakra) was taken in a grand procession to the Ganga River amidst the chanting of Vedic hymns and the sounds of mangala vadhyam (auspicious music). Special pujas and harati were offered to the Sri Chakratalwar, and the Chakrasnanam Mahotsavam was performed with devotion and splendor.
The event was graced by the presence of HDPP Secretary Sri Sriram Raghunath, Estate Officer Sri Guna Bhushan Reddy, Superintendent Sri Guru Rajaswami, and other TTD officials. The ceremony brought together hundreds of devotees, who experienced divine bliss and spiritual fervor.
