Grand Celebrations of Vadde Obanna Jayanti in Karimnagar

The birth anniversary of Renati freedom fighter Vadde Obanna was celebrated with grandeur at the Karimnagar Collectorate on Saturday, under the auspices of the District BC Welfare Department. Additional Collector Prapul Desai paid floral tributes to Obanna’s portrait, honoring his contributions to the fight against British rule.
Speaking on the occasion, the Additional Collector highlighted Obanna’s pivotal role in the armed struggle against the British government. He described Obanna as a prominent warrior who fought not just for the Vaddera community but for the liberation of all Indians from the shackles of slavery. He commended the official recognition of such a towering personality’s legacy through the celebration of his birth anniversary.
The event was attended by BC Welfare Officer M. Anil, DRO Pawan Kumar, District Employment Officer Tirupati, RDO Maheshwar, District Vaddera Association President Palakuntla Srinivas, Vice President Sura Uppalayya, and BC Welfare Hostel staff, among others, who participated in paying tribute to the great freedom fighter.
