Medak MP Raghunandan Rao accused government officials of conspiring to grab 85 acres of unregistered land in Velimala village, Sangareddy district. He alleged that a minister is behind the attempt to transfer the land to ineligible persons and real estate companies through fake pattas.

On Friday, the MP visited the disputed land in survey number 434 along with affected farmers. He claimed that new survey numbers (632 to 644) were created fraudulently to facilitate the illegal transfer of the land. He also pointed out that local tribal families with rightful claims to 40 acres were facing false cases and harassment for resisting the encroachment.

Raghunandan Rao demanded that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy order an immediate inquiry through intelligence and SIT to expose the alleged land scam. He also called for the removal of a boundary wall built around the disputed land, warning that farmers would demolish it themselves if officials failed to act.

Criticizing the police and revenue officials for supporting illegal activities, the MP stated that any further escalation would be the government’s responsibility. He vowed to fight for justice until the land is restored to the rightful tribal owners. The protest escalated as Raghunandan Rao staged a sit-in on the road, leading to his detention by the police.
