Focus on Export-Oriented Production in Nalgonda District: Collector Ila Tripathi

Nalgonda District Collector Ila Tripathi emphasized the need to focus on products suitable for exports and the development of clusters to facilitate their production. Speaking at a meeting organized by the District Industries Department on Thursday at the Collectorate, she stressed the importance of creating a conducive environment for export-oriented production and cluster development.
Collector Tripathi assured that self-help groups (SHGs), particularly women’s groups, would be encouraged to take up production initiatives. She stated that land required for such projects would be offered at subsidized rates to support SHGs in their endeavors.
FIEO representative Kulkarni provided insights into the establishment of export-oriented industries and their operational frameworks. IT, RCT, and TSIC officers explained the procedures and benefits of setting up clusters and how they can contribute to the district’s export growth.
District Industries Officer Koteswara Rao, Agricultural Officer Shravan, Horticulture DD Saibaba, NABARD and DRDO officials, TSIC representatives, and Katangoor FTO President Nandyala Narasimha Reddy also attended the meeting. They discussed strategies to identify and develop products and clusters suitable for exports and enhance the district’s economic potential.
