Electric Bike Battery Explodes in Jagtial, Causes Fire Damage

A fire broke out in Balapalli village of Jagtial mandal on Thursday after the battery of an electric scooter exploded, causing significant damage to property.
Bethi Thirupati Reddy, a resident of the village, had purchased a TVS electric scooter three months ago. On Thursday, the scooter was being charged within the premises of his residence when the battery suddenly exploded. The resulting fire engulfed the area, completely gutting the scooter and partially burning the door of the house.
The incident has raised concerns about the safety of electric vehicles, particularly during charging. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the fire has highlighted the need for increased scrutiny of electric vehicle batteries and charging systems to prevent such occurrences in the future.
Local authorities have been informed, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the battery explosion.
