TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu issued a stern warning to employees involved in corruption within the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD). He emphasized that those failing to serve devotees with honesty and selflessness would face strict actions, regardless of their position or connections.
Addressing allegations against a Panchayati Revenue official, Naidu called him to his office and expressed severe displeasure. “You have numerous complaints against you, and allegations of misappropriating crores of rupees have surfaced. What do you gain from such sinful money?” he questioned the official, adding that indulging in corruption while misusing social and political influences was unacceptable.
Naidu further criticized the official for allegedly facilitating unauthorized stalls and hawkers on the hilltop while troubling locals under the guise of clearing encroachments. Reports indicated that bribes worth lakhs were taken to allow unauthorized setups, especially favoring ruling party sympathizers. The Chairman firmly stated, “I will not tolerate such actions that tarnish the reputation of TTD or the government. Your conduct will be addressed immediately, and strict measures will follow.”
Naidu assured transparency and accountability in TTD operations and warned all officials to prioritize honest service to Lord Venkateswara’s devotees. He concluded by stating, “If any officer faces challenges in their duties, bring them to my notice for resolution. However, misconduct and corruption will never be overlooked.”
