BJP District President Gangadi Krishna Reddy lashed out at the Congress government, accusing it of betraying the people with false promises and guarantees while delivering failed governance. Speaking at the BJP’s “Porubata” program held in Manakondur and Huzurabad constituencies on Thursday, Krishna Reddy criticized the Congress for celebrating its one-year rule with victory events despite its inability to fulfill its promises.
He questioned the rationale behind these celebrations, asking if they were for misusing public funds, increasing the state’s debt by ₹80,000 crore, or deceiving people with six guarantees. He highlighted that Congress had failed to provide ₹2,500 to women under the Mahalakshmi scheme, unemployment benefits of ₹4,016, and comprehensive farm loan waivers, leaving farmers in distress.
Krishna Reddy further alleged that Congress misled farmers by promising bonuses for all crops but delivering only for a select few. He criticized the government for neglecting its election promises, including free gas cylinders, pensions, and scooters for women and students.
He accused Congress of exploiting public funds to stage hollow celebrations, ignoring the plight of various communities, and delivering half-baked promises. Krishna Reddy vowed that the BJP would continue to hold the government accountable and fight for the rights of Telangana’s people.
The meetings were coordinated by BJP leaders Kariveda Mahipal, Alivelu Sammireddy, Errabelli Sampath Rao, and Puppala Raghu, and witnessed significant participation from party workers and leaders.
