Karimnagar District Collector Pamela Satpathy directed officials to ensure foolproof arrangements for the annual Brahmotsavams of Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple on Market Road, scheduled from February 2 to February 10.
In a review meeting held on Thursday at the Collectorate Conference Hall under the auspices of the Endowments Department, the Collector emphasized the importance of coordination among departments to provide facilities such as drinking water, shamianas, queue lines, barricades, and sanitation. Municipal officials were instructed to maintain cleanliness around the temple and prevent food waste from being discarded on roads.
The police were directed to manage traffic effectively, rerouting vehicles to avoid congestion and installing CCTV cameras for continuous monitoring. The Collector also stressed the need for stage, lighting, and decoration arrangements, ensuring precautions against short circuits and keeping fire engines on standby. Uninterrupted power supply was emphasized, with medical camps to be set up by DMHO Venkataramana, including first aid kits, ORS, and necessary medications.
Posters about free health screenings under the Aarogya Mahila program were recommended to inform devotees. The Endowments Assistant Commissioner Supriya stated that daily meals and snacks would be arranged for devotees during the event.
