BJP leaders and workers staged a massive roadblock protest in Bhainsa on Thursday after being denied permission by the government and police to conduct a bike rally against the failures of the Congress government during its one-year tenure. The protest, led by MLA Pawar Rama Rao Patel, caused traffic to come to a standstill as BJP supporters sat on the roads in large numbers.
Speaking at the protest, MLA Patel condemned the government’s actions, questioning whether Telangana was under a democracy or still enduring a Nizam-like regime. He criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, alleging suppression of democratic rights and claiming that BJP workers were harassed with calls to prevent the rally. Patel vowed to raise the issue in the Assembly and called out the government for curbing political freedoms.
BJP program convener Rajesh Babu also lashed out at officials for their conduct, accusing them of acting under pressure from the Congress government. The protest saw significant participation from BJP leaders and workers from various mandals, underscoring the party’s determination to hold the Congress accountable for its governance failures.
