Awareness Seminar on Laws for Women

Under the instructions of District SP Shri Srinivas IPS and the supervision of Additional SP Shri Prabhakar Rao, an awareness seminar was conducted at Gannaram Residential Junior College in Kagaznagar division. The event, organized by the SHE Teams and Bharosa Center, aimed to educate students about laws related to women’s safety.

During the seminar, Bharosa Center SI Thirumala and SHE Team members Ramadevi and Sunitha addressed the students, emphasizing the importance of reporting harassment or violence against women. They encouraged victims to immediately contact the SHE Teams for assistance.

The speakers highlighted the need for caution when using social media platforms like Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram. They advised students to ensure personal safety by being mindful of the photos and videos they post online.

It was reiterated that SHE Teams and Bharosa Centers are dedicated to providing safety and support to women in the district. The public was urged to dial 1930 for cybercrimes and 100 in case of emergencies. Additionally, the Kagaznagar SHE Team can be contacted directly at 8712670565.

The seminar was attended by the college principal, Ramya Krishna, faculty members, and representatives from the Bharosa Center and SHE Team.
