Awareness Program on National Girl Child Day at Laxmidevi Palli Village

On the occasion of National Girl Child Day, an awareness program was organized by Tejas Foundation at MPUPS School, Laxmidevi Palli village in Sarangapur Mandal. As part of the program, sanitary pads were distributed to girls, emphasizing the importance of menstrual hygiene.
The event also focused on child rights protection, with an informative session on “Safe Touch and Unsafe Touch.” The participants were educated about the government helpdesk numbers for child rights protection, including the Child Helpline 1098, Police Helpline 100, Sakhi One-Stop Center 181, and the Senior Citizens Protection Helpline 14567.
Additionally, the program included discussions on reducing plastic usage, managing electronic waste, and environmental protection. Awareness on substance abuse was also imparted, along with a pledge to promote healthier lifestyles.
The session was conducted by Tejas Foundation organizers, Atukula Srinivas, and the school staff including HM D. Srinivas Rao, teachers Lakshmikant, Sridhar, Prabhakar Reddy, B. Rajitha, K. Rajitha, and Sharada Madam. Students actively participated in the program.
