AISF criticizes New National Education Policy

AISF Siddipet District Secretary, Jerripothula Janardhan, criticized the Modi government’s National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, calling it a threat to India’s constitutional spirit. He condemned the policy’s move to centralize, corporatize, and privatize education, emphasizing its failure to provide free education for the poor.
Janardhan highlighted the removal of democratic and secular values from textbooks and the inclusion of controversial figures, which distorts India’s history. He also expressed concerns over pending scholarships and the lack of teaching posts in universities, which threaten the future of education.
He urged students to join the fight against the NEP and attend the AISF National Committee meetings on February 9-10 in Hyderabad. The meeting was attended by AISF leaders Ramgala Naresh, Velpula Prasanna Kumar, and others.
