Adivasis Should Prioritize Education: Adilabad SP Ghosh Alam

Aiming to strengthen the relationship between the police and tribal communities, Adilabad SP Ghosh Alam IPS participated in a blanket distribution program in the remote tribal village of Kair Datwa in Narnur Mandal. The event, organized under the Police for You initiative, distributed 1,000 blankets free of cost, benefiting residents of eight tribal villages. The program was made possible with the support of the Agarwal Samaj Trust, Hyderabad, to whom the SP expressed heartfelt gratitude.
During the event, the SP emphasized the importance of education for the tribal youth, urging them to secure government and private jobs and improve their living standards. He encouraged the community to steer clear of drug addiction and refrain from cultivating or trading ganja. The SP also warned against the dangers of illegal power connections in fields, stressing the need for safety measures.
The program began with a traditional welcome for the SP and officials, including Utnur Sub-Collector Yuvaraj and Assistant Collector Abhignan. Following tributes to Komaram Bheem’s statue, a volleyball game was inaugurated, showcasing the community’s cultural and sporting spirit.
SP Ghosh Alam highlighted the devastating effects of drug addiction and urged the youth to focus on their education and family welfare. He called upon farmers to avoid being misled by brokers into cultivating ganja, urging them instead to explore sustainable and lawful agricultural practices.
The event included awareness sessions by Cyber Crime DSP Pasibilla, who educated attendees on preventing cybercrime. The blanket distribution program saw active participation from tribal leaders, villagers, police personnel, and other dignitaries, making it a significant step towards fostering development and trust in the region.
Among the key attendees were DSPs CH Nagender and Haseebullah, district Sarpanch Medi Meshram Durgu Patel, CIs Rahim Pasha and Mogili, SI Sunil from Indravelli, and various community leaders.
