Telangana: A 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck Telangana’s Mulugu district early on Wednesday, jolting the region and causing tremors felt as far as Hyderabad.
The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported that the earthquake occurred at 7:27 am, with its epicenter in the Mulugu region at a depth of 40 kilometers.

This is one of the strongest earthquakes the state has experienced in two decades. A social media user known as ‘Telangana Weatherman’ noted:
"For the first time in last 20 years, one of the strongest earthquakes occurred in Telangana with 5.3 magnitude at Mulugu as the epicenter. Entire Telangana, including Hyderabad, felt the tremors. Once again, an earthquake at the Godavari river bed, but a pretty strong one."
